Where to drink in York?!

Any York City Fans reading?!

 

I cant get onto your website - for some reason it keeps coming up 'Access Denied' (Maybe it has a southern filter on it!!) Just wondering where to go for a beer before the match any suggestions?

Pubs: 'The Burton Stone' (01904 622945) comes highly recommended. Visiting fans are welcome in this family friendly pub. Alternatively, further down Burton Stone Lane, visiting fans are welcome in 'The Corner House' (aka The Mansfield).

 

York`s away terrace is open like ours and the forecast is showers so might be an idea to take a brolly.

It's so nice to read about Clubs advising where 'Away Fans' are welcomed for a drink.

 

Surely, this is what sport is all about ? Not knocking seven bales of sh1t out of someone, just because they support a certain team !

 

Son in law has just lent me the DVD, 'Football Factory'. A very graphic portrayal of why football violence is so mindless. A good view though, for any true footy fans.

 

I can well recommend it !

Yes its a good film apart from the stupid ending. The characters in the film are very realistic. Especially the 40 year old nutter who wants to fight everyone. We all know someone like that! It is a film well worth watching there are some great lines in it.
