I have just read the "last post" by the club about putting the club into administration - depressed and angry.

Have just sent an e-mail to Michael Howard about some bad press for the Tories, for all the good that it may do.

Keep hanging in there.

Well done Sandy. You've reduced this particular pacifist to thoughts of extreme violence.Sitting at work shaking with anger. We'll never say die on this issue and someone will eventually get what they deserve!!!I personnally will rip his eyebrows off with pliers & hold them hostage. We maybe down but we're still not dead.I hope you don't feel safe here 'cos you certainly don't belong here in any capacity.Letters to local rags everyone,we really need some direct action.Positive thoughts on this required.Discuss.

How about a peaceful protest on the pitch at half-time tomorrow.Braintree fans seem like good eggs-I'm sure they'd join us-like Barnet fans at Farnboro' a few weeks ago.Publicity for the club and against the council would be huge.Lets do it.These are now desperate times. If they're gonna bring our club down then we're gonna bring them down. The fcukers.Sandy your time is up.

I can't help but feel that a well meaning but ill-advised meeting between supporters and TDC earlier this year has brought us to this position.

It's been obvious for ages that this TDC administration doesn't want HDP to have any commercial development and have been trying to overturn any negotiations the previous administration had agreed to.

When a group has a meeting about setting up a supporters trust and looks to re-invent MFC at a lower level from that of today, TDC sees this as a great compromise which they can support. The 'new'club has a smaller fan base, smaller ambitions - so they restore HDP as a Kent League ground - with no commercial presence at HDP, no KP at the helm and without the problems that an ambitious club with a large fan base might bring in the future.

Like the rest of you i am feeling sick, totally gutted, though not at all suprised. what a winner for the council , we pay for it and they get a brand new stadium for the Rugby club(who's a member?).If and only if an agreement fails to materialise, and the judicial option the club are promising happens, the flicker of a silver lining for thanet as a whole would be that the abundant brown rumours that envelope(sorry mixed up my words ) this area would come out into the open and perhaps Thanet could become the prosperouse/ better area it should be. I hope with all my heart that an agreement can be brokerd this afternoon as i cannot imagine margate without a club. I also see the developers have stated that without the GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAte the will also pull out. No dreamland, no Butlins, no Gaaaaaaaaate then NO,NO,NO,NO,NO,NO,TURNER CENTRE. Come on the GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE ONWARDS AND UPWARDS. [color:"red"]

I am utterly speechless at the audacity of this outfit. They need to be scrutinised to within an inch of existence and held to account for their many mishandled and disatrous decisions.

And to criticise the Club's financial position when it is the Council that by their prognostication and spin and lies and delaying tactics have put tnem in this position in the first place just about takes the biscuit.

It's a long time to wait until 2007 to vote them into obscurity and beyond but I think there will be many long memories come election day. Let's hope so. Unfit to bear office, this lot.

quote: .... One question has never been answered – who decided it was OK to demolish the ground?

[color:"blue"] History has a way of blurring people's minds. At the time the ground was demolished we all applauded that at last there'd been some progress in the ground saga - which had been dragging it's feet for over a year with the ground closed and we'd been playing at the Crabble. It wasn't until after the stands had been demolished that it was discovered that the contractors had been told to stop clearing the site because the developers hadn't paid for the demolition. Then we discovered that Stadia Management had gone tits up.

We know the club made mistakes but things like the demolition of the ground were probably based on advise from companies like Stadia Management. If it was bad advise we only discovered that after the event. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.......women and Thanet Tory Councillors use it alot.

So what is Thanet Councils excuse????

Dear Mr Angry,

I wondered how long it would be before this came up!

Once again to reiterate the situation,

The idea of putting into place a CONTINGENCY plan was endorsed and gathered momentum at the meeting at the Oddfellows club Margate, in January, I think the date was.

When undertaking such a "project" you can't sit back and wait for something to happen so that you can then start to put things into place. Part of the process meant talking to people to see where the land lay and how best to go about, what is and has been a complicated and lengthy issue. Knowing the limitations of those involved at the time, lower league football would have been the only option.

KP (understandably) got the hump when two things happened, firstly and whether this shows any council bias I,m not sure, but they advised that any new club that followed any collapse of the current "MFC" should contemplate not to involve those that were there at the time.

Secondly, he got the hump when he was informed (by me) that the council had asked, on more than one occasion, whether they wanted us (the supporters to "pull the plug" on MFC,the second time was when Tony Cook and several other supporters attended a meeting with the council leader and chief executive. On both occasions the council recived an emphatic no! This (not the "no" bit, but the question!!) was obviously seen as a threat to the Directors.

I have no particular issues with KP or anyone else, I have, as KP wanted, kept my head down and got on with my life instead of working to help towards keeping MFC at Hartsdown (at whatever level).

Whatever anyone may or may not think (or care for that matter) I have been following the club since the 70's and shall continue to do so!

People show their emtions for the club in many different ways, some continually complain about the situation, but do nothing, some people sit back and do nothing, some people continue to support their club week in week out and just enjoy the team playing, some people are unable to do anything, some people don't want to do anything, some people are a bit of a mixture of all of those, but, rightly or wrongly, I tried along with a few others to do something.

I just hope that the club and the council can come up with a solution as soon as possible and bring this awful situation to a full and final close!

Up the Gate

Ian
