I took Jimmy down the club last night for a couple of quick brews.

 

To say he absolutely loved the place is an understatement. I reckon it won't be long before he joins up.

 

He also produced a good green to black clearance to clinch our first frame.

Green to black, eh? I must play this fella. I recall I had a reasonable Pool record against him!

 

Get him signed up, though! You can never have too many Tories in your company, when supping a pint of ale and crusing the green baize.

The balls weren't exactly in difficult positions. A couple of good pots and three knock ins to balls over the pockets.

 

Oh, and no bollockings for talking in there this time. In fact there were a couple of old boys making more noise than us. Fair play to them I say.

Good stuff! I think it's probably best we avoid Thursday evenings in future, as that's League night.

 

How does next Monday or Tuesday sound, just for an hour or so after work??

 

Actually... Spurs are on the box Monday night, aren't they? Do you fancy that??

That's true. Hopefully they'll put on all the interactive stuff on the different screens like they did for matches last season.

 

I think it was Bolton vs Fulham where I watched a game down there, and they had one screen showing the game, another showing selected highlights on a loop for those commuters who couldn't get down the club in time for kick off, and the third screen with an interactive menu to select any goal from any match over the past eleven seasons, just at the push of a button.

 

Makes the £85 a month membership seem like a fking bargain.
