A much better performance by The Town tonight. Our passing was far superior to recent matches and we looked solid at the back.

 

Town took the lead early in the second half when Graeme Hall tapped home from what looked like an offside position after a flick-on from Lee Smith. Town doubled the lead with about 10mins to go when Paul Campbell beat the offside trap... after a challenge with the 'keeper the ball fell to Asa Pamplin who scored from the edge of the box in to the empty net.

 

Sawbos best chance came in the last minute when a free header was put over from the edge of the six yard box.

 

Very good performances from Graeme, Rudi, Adam and Matty

A good performance, although our first goal was almost certainly off-side. Sawbo are always a tough side to break down. I have to say that standing behind our goal in the first half I really appreciated the way in which Chopper marshalls our defence. We all know he is a good shot stopper but I reckon his loud mouth (no insult intended) has prevented many goals in the past.

I agree that the first goal was offside the linesman was actually behind play before the free kick was taken before the flick on. The second goal was on the break as we searched for an equaliser. Nice bounce off Pamplin's shin though! All said though it was a poor peformance by us. I think you lot shaded it on quality of play. The coditions were not condusive to attractive football anyhow.

the ref allowed the game to flow pretty well in bad conditions. The only criticism could come from Sawbo fans over our first goal.
