BFR, thanks for the clarification (about the supporters, I mean ).

Makes sense, although rather worrying for them as they seem to need to raise an awful lot of money very quickly...

Incidentally, your favourite person has posted his own missive on the Dover A. site in which he attempts to fend off some of the criticisms flying around about him. I'll let you judge for yourself how accurate his comments are.

The DAFC fans will find out for themselves over the next few weeks/months...

No mention of the promised signing on fees offered to players before speaking to the club about it, no mention of the continual promises being made to players and fans which were consequently broken.

I notice that he talks about no pre-season being almost solely responsible for us not doing well enough one season. Eddie & Micky have managed to get things going superbly despite much off the field confusion this summer. Perhaps it was because Steve didn't have the respect of the players or tactical nous to do the job with a admittedly talented, but expensive, squad.

Almost anyone involved heavily in the club whilst Browne was in charge will have little to nothing positive to say about the man.

I like the fact that he immediately feels the need to justify his past and boast of taking Slough to the First Round of the FA Cup. I like the fact that he then fails to point out we were beaten by "giant killers" from a step lower in the pyramid despite having home advantage.

That result cost us the opportunity to play Bristol City in a game that would undoubtedly have been televised and played to a capacity ground. I think he would of found that money would have come in rather handy for the club although I am glad he did not have the opportunity to fritter it away.

A manager is judged on results not promises and boasting. I am sure the Dover fans will quickly see what a useless waste of space the guy is.

Hmmm...songs...ideas...brain slow today...

OK, following song titles as possible tunes and/or to get your brains working on the problem.

(Not saying any of these are suitable, mind you!)

"Brown Girl In The Ring" - Boney M

"Brown-Eyed Girl" -

"Golden Brown" - Stranglers

"Brown Sugar" - Rolling Stones

"Brown, Brown, Deeper on Brown" - Status Quo (slightly editied!)

"Brown Town" - Petula Clark (Also slightly edited)

...and there must be many more besides!

Please note - this selection does not reflect my musical tastes, just the song titles I can remember at present!

Gary, can't we use the opportunity to have a go at **** who blighted our club and support the team. There have been many moments of near silence at recent games that could be filled when Dover come a visiting.

When Browne announced he would sign four or five players in the week of his arrival I think we could have guessed those two would be high up on his list. Amazing the way that he had Dover watched and then spots that their weakest positions are those that can be filled by Deano and the squeaky voiced one. Quite good players but they have never been quite good enough to achieve Browne's aims before.

So, maybe it is not entirely his management skills that have seen sides suffer under his guiding hand.

Or is it?

Maybe this is a serious flaw in his planning that he hasn't realised yet.

If you were the boss of a company failing due to lack of productivity from your workforce, when you moved on to a new company you would not want to bring your old employees with you for fear that the lack of productivity continued, surely? That would appear to be what he is doing (again).

I agree with Ian and Martin - we should be singing for our team, to give them the encouragement (which they shouldn't need) to make sure they win the game convincingly. THEN we can have a pop at Mr B.
