ALSO.

Looking on motoo Romford seem to have a home league game against Enfield Town on Tuesday 23 November.

That means that the two top supported teams in the ESL will have played each other at home and away in an evening league match this season.

Words fail me.

ALMOST!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

Yes. Sack the fixtures secretary. It's been a complete shambles this season.Enfield Town and Romford should make a stand.

ALL league games should have been played on Saturdays only.ALL minor cup games should have been played on Tuesdays.Only rearanged league fixtured should be played midweek.Teams are going to be struggling to travel and field sides mid-week,whilst having free saturdays.

i think the fixtures secretary has panicked over a possible end of season backlog and has over-reacted by trying to get so many games out of the way early.

Just want to make the point without extra comment that Saturday league and weekdday cup games seem to be quite logical pre-Winter.

Better this way and have a late season backlog (if this is at all possible with only 15 teams) which all clubs would accept more readily I feel.

We're in danger of most clubs finishing the season ridiculously early with probably the final fixtures going to clubs not even in the championship running or some top versus bottom games which make a mockery of the excitement of it all.

But this point was made after the first month's fixtures were announced and no notice

seems to have been taken of the opinions of the people whose support keep the league and its clubs going.

So why bother guys. The league increasingly seems to be run for the benefit of its officers with the member clubs only there to fill the positions in the league table.

And I said that I wasn't going to make extra comment.

Sorry! Couldn't help myself.

Roll on the new 2004/2005 season level 5 reorganised area league run in a professional manner.

Andy. Question is are you for or against the fixture taking place on a Tuesday evening.

Sorry you were confused. Thought my point was reasonably clear. When I set the poll up it said you had only ONE vote!

By the way. I see that four persons have now voted for the fixture to be played on a Tuesday evening.

I wonder who they could be and if the flat earth society can drum up any other members to vote with them.

Even if the Town win the ESL Mr H ( and there's no guarantee of that) don't you go into a hat for selection for promotion with a number of other applicants.

The phrase "don't count your chickens ..." comes to mind.

I am against this fixture being mid-week but for some reason my vote was rejected.

Please stop this absurd thread as its going nowhere and by your own admission has had to be brought back to the "top" because there is no answer unless you just do the right and proper thing and get your club Secretary to contact the League Fixture Secretary and ask him why - he's your man with the answer, not anyone else on this forum.. or, may I say, any other Officer !!!

How the conversation might go.

ETFC secretary says: CAN WE HAVE THE MATCH ON A SATURDAY Fixture secretary: Assumes the same position he did when he initally drew up the fixtures
