Monday Night Football

Not against a bit of football on a Monday night - gives you something to look forward to on the first day back after the weekend.

 

But two of the Spurs away matched I fancied over the next couple of months - Villa and Pompey away - are both of a Monday. So no chance of getting home on public transport.

 

Might do Blackburn away early December. Not been to Ewood Park before, but it's a 9-hour round journey by rail.

You could get back from both I'd say.

The last train from Birmingham to London is about 2230/2300 while Pompey will have trains home, it may mean getting the last or first train back from St.Pancreas but there is only about 1 hour half gap without a train from St.P

Ask gertcha he carries a pocket timetable around with him

Aston Villa's local station is, I think, Aston, which still means connecting to Birmingham.

 

I've checked both - neither get me in much before 1am, so I'll leave it!
