Only 55 for a Townies away game? I would start getting worried about the interest waning.

Minor cup / Long way to travel/ England live on TV.

 

I predicted a crowd of 50.A lot of ETFC fans were upset with the way Southend Manor dealt with the waterlodded pitch situation last season,and also not bothering to change the kick-off time to avoid a clash with England v Wales.

 

Enfield Town's attendences in the league are as healthy as ever.

....or, being forever cynical, it may just show were some loyalties are beginning to lie! Surely it was down to both clubs to decide on the kick off time? I would have thought that the crowd for said game would have normally been around the 150 mark, so are Southend getting so rich that they can afford to lose around a £600? Seems a tad odd to me.

If ETFC were playing Southend Manor away in a league game (and England wern't playing) ,a crowd of 150 would have been expected.

 

Support for Enfield Town isn't deminishing (over 300 for our last home game). But interest in Minor Essex competions,that we have already won,is deminishing.

Here, here. The GBMT means nothing. the League Cup is more important and to win it a third time would make ETFC the joint top winners (I think). The league has to take priority though, even over the Vase.

I would be quite happy to lose every cup game and win every league game.

 

Let's be realistic there is only so much cash to go around, so to pay for 2 games per week, is expensive, the England game made it easier to make the decison not to go to SM

PeanutGringo, what was your HOME attendance on Saturday for a game that DIDN'T clash with the England match?

 

I stated elsewhere that Southend were set to lose £500 by not moving the kick-off time.
