I do not have any idea of the clubs plans for the ground i wonder if someone could shed some light.

 

When i look around the grounds of other clubs i see every inch is covered in advertising which would probably bring in quite a substancial revenue. At clarence park i see little if any. Also nearly every other club has a large and busy club house which would also bring in revenue. Clarence parks bar is tiny and packed and not very attractive. has the club considered these things?

 

Also why does the club not hand free or cheap tickets to schools to encourage more people throught the gate? even if they do not have to pay they will surely use the bar or tea bar and if they drag their parents along all the better?

All this has been discussed before, and the club are not interested. They seriously do not give a fk.

It was just some observations, have these matters been discussed before then with the chairman or something?

 

A chairman with vision and drive would surely want these as an improvement. Also an easy way or gaining more money. How easy would it be to get sponsors from local st. albans businesses?

I don't know the exact details, but a committee was put together to discuss these sort of ideas last season.

 

They put together a blue-print of several pages, after several hours discussion and hard work, yet unbelievably it took the chairman months to even acknowledge receipt of the document. I doubt he even read it.

 

The only point in the entire document to have been implemented so far is the installation of SKY TV in the clubhouse.

Not entirely certain. I wasn't part of said committee, although I think I'm right in saying that a couple of those who were, occasionally come on this board.
