So St Albans have been kicked out of the FA cup for playing Jamie without permission.

Should he return to us this season, would he be eligible to play for us in the FA cup, or should we be on the safe side & let him stay there till next season...

Good afternoon you Urchins.

Without encouraging any debate, it would seem that we did have your permission to play t'lad in the F.A.Cup to the extent that the loan contract completed in August or whenever allowed him to play in all competitions except against you lot. [Come to think of it, we didn't have him last season when we took 4 points from 6 but we'll gloss over that.]

Anyway. It would seem that the lodging of the loan contract does not constitute 'written permission' under the rules of the F.A. Cup, so we are out.

As they say in these circumstances, it leaves us free to concentrate on the challenge for the League title.

Some chap [or gell] called Uncle Urchin [who may or may not have a rudimentary knowledge of the rules] came on to our board and said that the playing of the lad does, indeed, cup-tie him notwithstanding the disqualification so any offer from Manchester United, or anyone else, after the loan period expires is likely to be halved as a result.

Looking forward to the points in December. Regards to you lot from me.

Without wishing to encourage any bad feeling from your part, or any further schadenfreude from ours, it would appear (especially to the FA sub-committee) that you did not. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Now '1inthetree', which part of that didn't you understand?

Did I say anywhere that we did have written permission in a form acceptable to the F.A.? No. I don't think that I did either.

For the avoidance of all doubt, e did not have written permission in a form acceptable to the F.A. and, as far as I am concerned, that's the end of the matter. Fault? Blame? Well ours of course.

Good luck to you lot on Saturday.
