im one of the 6 who thinks he should stay!

to be honest i don't think st. albans were ready to go to the conference i think they shouldve stayed in the ryman! i must admit i do not have as much knowledge of the running of the club as the rest of you but i feel that the club cannot fund the current players wage. i think they shouldve dropped down and encouraged the youth to play. who wouldve played for very little money and for the shirt as they are local! But as for S Castle i don't think he has had much to work with and has been restricted.

I don't think there's a great deal of difference in the standard between Conf. South and Ryman, Blaze. I believe we'd be struggling in the Ryman too.

if we was in the ryman we'd still have deacon, attwood, jones, atkinson and all the young players who played so well for the reserves last year and they would be developing as players. Also i feel the more local players that are in the team the more local people will want to come and watch.

I agree with the second bit, but why would those players have stayed if we were still in the Ryman?

 

Surely the manager would still be pig-headed and leave them out??

Because they are local lads who have been at the club all their life and would love to play. if they was getting a regular run in the team

That's exactly what I'm saying.

 

I know they'd have loved to stay, but I'm not sure Castle would have given them a decent run in the team whether we were in Conf.Sth, Ryman or whatever.

He wouldve had no choice because of the big time charlies wouldnt be at the club because thier wages wouldve been too much in the ryman.

Let's face it, we've been hopelessly underprepared for this campaign. We qualified against all the odds, the manager (OK, for once not his fault) was away until June and the one player who could've made a difference (Steve Watts) has left. Numerous injuries and now suspensions and a constant turnover of players hasn't exactly helped either.

 

We've got six and a half months still to go and a couple of weeks to get the players fit again before a string of big games. If anybody is going to take any action it needs to be done now (imo).

Is this the same great man manager who when questioned during a firey debate with senior players turned on the young players to blame them for all the clubs woes.

I'm sure we'd have the same volume of young players leaving the club if we were in the Ryman

Good news for plucky Wales, I noticed a flare set off in the Austria v Poland game with one of these teams expelled Wales chance of getting 2nd place looks better.

i think we also saw one in the France v Eire game with the French out that must give the rest of us a chance at WC06
