I spoke to Gledders abou this at the reserves last night, he was quite pissed off. Apparently he got hit 5 or 6 times with conkers launched from the stand, when he complained to the 4th official he was told he should have collected them and presented them to the referee.

Ah, I wonder if that was the incident in the left-hand corner, I do remember questioning why there was such a hoo-ha among that section of the Shots crowd at one point, and it looked like there was a Fleet sub involved.

Surely if the fourth official saw what was going on then there shoulda been no need to collect the "evidence and present it to the referee at the end.

 

Also, if he had of gone to the ref, the conkers would still have been there, so he could have taken the ref to the scene of the crime as it were.
