I think we will have a few more that change to a Friday or midweek once the weather and cup games start.

 

Travelling all the way up north and finding the game has just been cancelled due to weather later in the season isn't going to be as easy as going to Braintree and having it cancelled.

 

Looked at the fixtures list and the vast majority are at the weekend - may see if I can sneak out of work very early to see this one...... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" />

Here we go again. We had this before with Northwich in the Trophy a few seasons ago. Luckily all going well I might be able to go!!

I seem to remember we had a Trophy game against Northwich that didn't take priority over Witton's league game. We had to go up there on a Friday night through a snowstorm.

 

I'll miss Friday night's Coronation Street!

Because its an evening KO we should be able to see all the fireworks going off as we travel north - what a beautiful distraction - arrrggggghhhhh

 

I remember all the posts last year about N.Vic and making it a Friday night KO - I'm just feeling a litle sorry for them - no ground, voluntary bankrupcy and -10 points. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

 

There isn't a great deal for them to look forward to.

I think the N Vic Trophy game was two years ago (we lost 1-2 I think). I think the wording on the official site is slightly misleading - it's Witton's ground, so any game of theirs will take precedence, no matter which competition it's in (as we have now found out twice !).

From a Northwich fan, sorry you guys have to suffer the M6 on a Friday again. however Canvey were given the option of Friday night or Sunday and chose Friday, just like last time. Apparently cos they want first use of the pitch. Not much consideration given to you guys who need to take time off work etc.

Alright lads! Just moved up to Sheffield for Uni but i'm Canvey through and through. Feel sorry for everyone who's gotta travel up on a Friday night again to watch us play Northwich. At least this time we'll beat them and get some revenge! It's not to far for me to travel now i'm a dirty northerner but it will be great to see the boys in action again after missing the last few games. I think Sunday would have been better for the yellow army even if the pitch is cut up after Witton's game the day before. But we'll get on with it like we always do and i'm sure it'll be a good night and another 3 points in the bag!
