winning the esl

do we need some players if we are going to win the esl this year ....another couple of strikrs and defenders. we have a lot of injurie at the moment and im not sure wether current players are a good enuf

On occasions this season, particularly if we are without Geordie, I think we have lacked leadership. Individually, the younger fitter players are good enough. Perhaps that's why Rids was coaxed out of retirement again?

We certainly need to buck our ideas up if we are to win the ESL

 

Other clubs eg WA, Sawbo, are progressing and we are in danger of standing still.

so where do youthink we need to improve ....do you think we need better strikers or defenders we seem ok in the midfield department .......what do we have at moment 5 strikers ?

Defensively, we are surely better than last year. Paul Campbell is a real find (but clearly not a right wing back) & Matty's available all year. Up front Lee's still got trouble with his hamstring, and The Prince is understandably not match fit.

 

The team has really missed John Everitt's box to box work in the last couple of matches, Rudi especially.

 

The only change I'd make may be to move Matty to the right and play Jacko at left wing back, assuming its to be three central defenders. But I doubt if we want to go there again.

Certainly a lot better defensively of late. Great to have Rudi Hall back and playing well. Not yet convinced by Asa Pamplin - we need a goalscorer. A 'Danny Clarke of a couple of years ago' kind of player who will get 30+ goals would be very handy right now - anyone know where we can pick one of those up then?

Doesn't matter whether we have 5 or 50 strikers; we need to be able to "test the keepers"

 

Start of the season we were firing in shots from all over; now we seem to be scared to have a go from more than 16 yards out.

 

Defence has defintely got betta this season.

 

Would be good to see some out and out wing players; but when we have tried this they haven't had the service, except Eton Manor away in ESL.

Pamplin caused problems when he came on against thame on sunday but didnt see him against eaton manor he started on the bench again as did ellie .....so tomoorrow will they play smith and the new striker or smith and buzz?? dean nyman is suspended is this right ??

Not sure. But I wouldn't advise supporters to get there early or take their boots. I can't see the GB being a high priority for the trophy cabinet this season. No offence.
