Eton Manor 0 Enfield Town 1

Recommended Posts

A fair description MB.

Town were very poor in the first half and Chopper kept us in it with a string of fine saves against a lively Manor attack.

Manor were playing a risky offside trap and it was eventually breached by Rudi who cut inside his defender to score a fine goal. Ridout then attempted the same but was tackled as he shot.

Early in the second half Manor's nippy forward was sent off for verbals. Town then had the major share of the possession without creating too many chances.

Side was...

A Hall

Campbell, G Hall, Ridout, Baldwin

Riley (Francis H/T), R Hall, Negus

Smith, Trialist (Pamplin H/T), Finch (Massala H/T)

Unused Sub Kitenge

Why is it Town were poor in the 1st half why dont you tell the truth Manor were very good and should have gone in 3 up.Chopper kept us in the game and how Manor are struggling is beyond me there fighting spirit is second to none and they are a very good side.

The only problem with this is that after 20 minutes if it wasn`t for Chopper we would have been more than 3 down, but after this John Ridout got more into the pace of the game and looked a class above.

Manor did play well in the first half, but that doesn't change the fact that Town player badly. Our passing was poor and we kept giving the ball away.

I thought the Manor approach play in the first half was very good but a combination of bad finishing and good goal-keeping kept us in it.

I did also think that your offside trap was as bit dodgy though.

I am the top scout at the Town and i see the no. 10 play so i told Jim It did not work out last night but after 20 or so games he will learn the off side rule.Even better after 30 games he will know that we play with a round leather thing called a ball that you kick every now and then.I even heard Jim ask the Manor bench if they wanted him at half time the bench fell over laughin???? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/rockon.gif" alt="" />
