Which would you rather have?

I would have to say I would sacrifice the league for knocking Arsenal out the FA Cup - although we would have to be down to 10 men, (after a totally unjust sending off), & win 5-4, coming back from 3 goals down - 2 of them blatantly offside, the third Arseanl goal handled into the net, & with our winner being a Ronnie Radford-esque screamer as the last kick of the game - & Motty would have to be doing the commentary.

And it would have to be the live game of the round, & would alos be the lead story for that evening's 6 o'clock & 10 o'clock news.

I think that's only fair in compensation for the league.

League has to be our priority. Though it would be nice to beat any premiership team in the way you have described, it seems more likely that we should go for promotion.

just making the 3rd round of the FA cup would be a fantastic achievment, imho.

I'd rather win the Carthium Cup by knocking out Canvey and Dagenham en route than have a 'freak' result against arsenal.

And your other team wouldn't happen to be the [****!!****] would it &1itt?

Although I agree, the league is our main priority, so I'd be happy with just getting to the semi's of the ManYoo cup.

<img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon29.gif" alt="" /> yes, my other team is the arsenal. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon29.gif" alt="" />

I was answering the question, i'd rather get promotion than beat *any* premiership team in the FA cup.

Having said that, should we draw arsenal in january, i will of course be cheering on the mighty urchins.

cut & paste job for the terminally lazy...

it wont affect our cup run. If the FA take any action, they'll replace st albans with heybridge in the 3rd Q round, which I think is a bit harsh meself. maybe a fine should cover it.

The FA Cup - Second Round Qualifying

Heybridge Swifts 0-2 St Albans City

Saturday 02 October 2004

A protest has been received from Heybridge Swifts concerning a St Albans City player, Jamie Southon who played whilst on loan from Hornchurch without the written permisson of Hornchurch, therefore in breach of the Competition Rules.

This will now be considered by a FA Cup Protest Sub-Committee meeting to be held either on Thursday or Friday of this week. Other items on the agenda are said to include who gets to <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/hump.gif" alt="" /> the leggy secretary this weekend.

there's only three things I would swap the league title for.....

shagging all 10 urchinettes at the same time.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

stuffing a beefburger into 'mad daves' gob... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/attentat.gif" alt="" />

and lastly......

beating tranmere in the last second of injury time in the 4th round of the FA Cup...

with a dodgy penalty.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon29.gif" alt="" />
