Right, I'll start.

Following their FA Cup 2nd. qualifying round tie at home to St. Albans City last Saturday that Heybridge Swifts lost 2-0; Heybridge as all sides will do, checked the opposition team sheet.

Yeah right, like you always do (not).

Interesting comments on the another board about cup ties and the (non-)checking of team sheets.

Especially when they've had the tip-off from another club!

OK, we fouled up but I can't help feeling bitter about how it all came about.

whilst everyone is having a free for all with the mud slinging and the dear old saintly one is making guarded comments about little old Hx being to blame....here's a few thoughts for you to digest...

we are paying most of JS wages so in my opinion letting you have him was an act of goodwill...as if we really need the money that you were contributing...

we had a request prior to this nonsence for steve west to go on loan as well to you for a short period...both GC and GH wanted him to get the match practice....I was against him going as it would have pissed our fans off...but told the two gary's to do what was right for the club....

needless to say..after the unpleasant outbursts from Mr Gibson the mooted arrangement was quickly called off..

Calder never rang heybridge..they rang him...

he rang me before taking the call and asked what stance the club should take...I told him in no uncertain terms to tell heybridge what the situation was....

most certainly I am not prepared to jeopordise our club by misleading other clubs officials....

you can whinge all you like but the truth is your club made a mistake....not the first one under Mr Gibsons stewardship by a long stretch...

the answer to your problems lie nearer to clarence park than to Hx I'm afraid.

I like your club and its supporters and am truly sorry for you as we all know how much the FA Cup means for many reasons....

but you really do have to look to your own club for the answer to these ongoing problems.....

face facts.....

it makes the future a lot clearer....

Unc - spot on.

Problem is, Gib$on will blame anyone and anything for the crap going on at the club at the moment, rather than admit that he's fked up big time.

Looking forward to visiting your ground again this season. Had a terrific time last year, as I'm sure you'll remember! Did young Mr Thorns PM you about a possible sponsorship of the game at your place later this year?

We sponsored the match at Braintree last season, and it successfully pissed off Mr Gib$on and a few others. I'm sure an EFM sponsorship of the Bonechapel/Stalebuns game would have the same effect!!

not as yet he hasn't but I am aware of this impending grand social event...

you will of course be most welcome and all efforts will be made to ensure that you have a top drawer day...I shall of course be making myself free both before and after the game as a 'guest'....

stale buns will be handed out to your 'merry band' as a gesture of goodwill to be ceremoniously flung at everyone who's name has been mentioned in the recent 'heybridge' fandango.

complimentary flares will also be provided...

When is the Secretary going to resign? The responsibility for this almighty [****!!****] up is down to him. How can he possibly hold his head up after this? He has to go.

Well Alf Tupper. Welcome to this board. Your first post on here at 9.55 last night.

So. You say that the responsibility for our removal from the F.A. Cup IS down to him, the club Secretary.

You must be John Gibson, Alasdair McMillin or Steve Castle. Thanks for coming on the board. The rest of us on here are very keen to hear the details of what went on in the few days leading up to the match at Heybridge. Do, please, let us know. What did the Secretary actually do?
