You enfield town idiots support a club thats going nowere we have the best manager in non league football and the ryman prem is there for the taking.jimmy chanler will keep you lot at level 5 for years to come and your board are to scared to get shot of him because them two women think the sun shines out of him. Why dont you lot come to theobalds lane and watch some real class as fruitbat bubbles and tacko have because they got brains to know wen to quit level 5 trash

I agree. You have got a great manager,and that is the ONLY reason you find yourself in the position you are in.Cheshunt do not (or can not) match his talent or ambition.When you manager leaves at the end of the season AND HE WIll you will quickly return to your natural grazing groung of step 4 and your crowds will return to 40 or so people.

 

Cheshunt and puching well above their weight. Lets have this conversation again in five years time, and let's see where the two clubs stand.

 

Also.lets see who Fruitbat is watching then as well.

 

Friutbat goes to Cheshunt because he lives round the corner to the ground,he gets in for half the price he can at ETFC and he can get p*issed for half the price he can at ETFC.All this is highlighted by the fact that he never watches Cheshunt play away.

Oh my god 5 minutes of success really goes to some peoples heads.Cheshunt have spent most of their entire history at level 5 with one ryman 2 trophy to show for it.Also 3 Bob Bailey level 6 trophies. The term head in the clouds comes to mind here.

Whats a Bob Bailey Trophy ? I never heard of it but it sounds like the sort of trophy that cheshunt are only capable of winning. I have visited there quite recently on my groundhopping travels and what a dump it is. A big disappointment Here (Rating 4 out of 10).No fans, No attmosphere ,no hospitality,overpriced P*ss for beer,Earache from some big fella,A ripoff salmonella burger bar & a programme full of smudged adverts. This mob dont know success and never will.

Cheshunt ...... Enfield Town. No contest, Cheshunt wipe the floor with your boys. The only advantage you have over them is your support, which is not as amazing as you think 200 - 300 is hardly the following of a massive club.

 

See where Cheshunt and Enfield Town are in 5 years, try 10 years, because you could be looking at another season in the ESL and Cheshunt look capable of promotion again.

 

Don't be bitter just accept thats how it is.

Why do Cheshunt continue to have such a low following?

 

Despite their recent success, good catchment area, public transport links and local publicity they don't appear able to improve their crowds.

 

From the reaction to TL's flawed attempts to move EFC there I guess that the immediate neighbours don't go, but there must be more too it than that.

How many Non-league grounds actually have an atmosphere. Very Few !!
Friendly Bar with very pretty Bar staff, not including Darren !!
Excellent Lager at Normal Club Prices, i/e Cheaper by about 40-80p to Local pubs
Earache from myself, well just fukcing live with it, or sod off back to the Wombles !!
Burger Bar much improved by ex-centrehalf, Andy Norman !!
Programme now professionally Written and Printed.
Additionally, the best Big screen in the area, ample seatinbg and no Sunlight on the image.
Also in answer to poor crowds, the average has shot up from about 30 to 150 !!!
Finally, just take my word for it you Tw*t, cos we dont wanna see yer down at CFC anyway.

There is no doubt Cheshunt are doing well, good luck to them.

 

I have been over there, once last season, don't think I'll be going back; would rather go to Waltham Abbey

Fruitbat to be fair. Cheshunts gate has gone up to around the 120/150 mark because Ryman teams actually have away supporters,unlike most league below that.

It is a mystery, as I said they have attracted about 100 or so from the local area, but you would expect many more.

When CFC actually, eventually, take over the ground lease they are to drastically improve the ground & facilities, so that might help.

New money has also joined the Club, so things are looking up !!
