[color:"blue"]Memories of that game .. isn't it Braintree where you can see the floodlights, but the entrance to the ground is hidden from the main road? Also remember coming back on the minibus, the driver took the wrong turning on the edge of the ring-road and we travelled home via Colchester(and got home at around midnight - an hour later than the other minibus).

Yeah, the floodlights can be seen from the main Cressing Road, but you have to go (left turn into Clockhouse way) if coming from McDonalds r/about, then left again and follow it to the Iron gates.

 

To go via Colchester you must of gone the wrong way on the A120 and gone 1st exit, towards Marks Tey. From Cressing Road you need to go home last exit, head towards Chelmsford / Stansted..

Just checked out league positions-halfway in the league below us.Thought initialy they were with respect a bit more 'lowly' than that

 

Alonside Folkestone, Eastleigh and Salisbury ,none of whom are mugs and you would not chose to get one of these sides.

 

Upon contemplation, this is a tough tough draw.

Only put the directions on as someone put they went wrong. Hopefully it will be us playing the Gate in a fortnight.

Never mind the 1985 classics - what about the 1955 game at Tonbridge when we drew 2-2 thanks to an amazing Peter Peters save.

 

Sadly we lost the reply 1-0 at Hartsdown.
