Slough vs Cheshunt FA Cup

BFR

Recommended Posts

Somewhat disappointingly, Slough have drawn Cheshunt in the FA Cup. No disrespect to them, but I'm sure we'd rather have drawn a bigger side or a side from a lower division. As it is, we'll have a very tough encounter, but with the bonus of it being on home soil

Windsor are away to the winners of Whitstable vs Maidenhead so it will be played Saturday 16th October

Good draw in my opinion, yes it would have been nice to have had a more attractive tie, but we have played them already and we know there is nothing to be scared of and most importantly a home draw. Both sides will have they have a good chance of progressing.

I agree that we have nothing to fear, but when the draw gets made you do hope for a side that we haven't played quite so recently and one that will bring a reasonable number of away fans.

Still, it is a winnable match, that is for sure. Roll on the 16th

16th October.

Slightly disappointing draw - they certainly will not bring a bus load of fans. But a chance for both sides to progress. We can certainly do it.

Come on Rebels.

Our match with Folkestone scheduled for the 20th October may also have to be moved, subject to ourselves requiring a replay, folkestone requiring a replay should they win their 2nd qualifying round replay, or potentially Windsor requiring a replay as Stag Meadow is not available on Tuesday 19th due to the model club.

So many permutations. It must make Paul Stephens happy.
