Another name that caught my eye last night and is out of contract this season is Gillingham's Roland Edge. If we managed to get him, I think our left-wing problems would be solved! He's admitted he's far from agreeing a new deal with the Gills, any chance of us making a poach?

Not sure. I think Roland Edge was watched by Spurs a few seasons ago, so he must be a good player.

I'd imagine a second or third division team will snap him up.

 

Any more news about Ty Gooden?

Well the rumours about him were he has signed but he can't come to us till the Summer when his contract eventually expires. He's a left winger too, but he's in his 30s and been hit by injuries for the past two seasons. So I'm not too sure about him just yet...

I also heard another rumour about Chris Kiwomya but I've no idea what club he is at, at the moment or whether there is any truth in this rumour.

Ah yes I remember that.

 

But to be honest, I don't think we want players like that. We've got enough ex-pros with the experience to marshall the younger players. What we need are more JKs, Tommos, Millers etc. just released from the Academy and wanting to prove they can make it big again. I think in that field JK is the best signing we've ever made.

Yes agreed. We should be looking at signing players released from Tottenham, West Ham, Ipswich academies and maybe some young pros(early 20s) who have been released as part of costcutting down to the TV money from football league clubs.

 

We really should stay clear of signing the over 30s like Kiwomya.
