At last the penny has dropped

Jeff King has stated in the Echo tonight that " Players will be leaving the club over the next few weeks after that performance"

The question is why has it taken so long for him to realise that there are certain players that couldnt give a monkeys about playing for Canvey, some of us have been saying it since the start of the season.

Its been obvious from the start that some of those with Football League experience have shown no commitment when you compare the effort they put in compared to players like JK,Wardy,Boylan,Chenners and Greggors who all have a passion for the club to succeed,it must be demoralising for them to see players come in on good wages and stroll around like prima donnas.

Lets hope Jeff sticks to his word and gets rid of the p**s takers!

Well as Merv has already stated that my days are numbered, I could post my last requests...Thursday's almost here people!

It's quite clear that it will be mostly those with Football League experience leaving so top of that list must be: David Gregory and Jeff Minton although Minton played rather well on Saturday.

Duffy should just walk out the club, but as he's Jeff's best buddy, he probably won't even get dropped for tonight.

I think Crow could also be going, and that's not just because he scored the own goal. Maybe Bertie Brayley too, we don't want another Wayne Vaughan thank you very much, and possibly Forbes!!!

Oh yeah, Matt Jones spends his life on the bench, so Dagenham can have him back and Dobinson was captain at Chelmsford last year! Why is he not playing constantly for us?He maybe young, but he's got the skill and gives 100%

Players I feel are trying to work their socks off for this Club have got to include: Potter, Wardy, Johnson, Kennedy, Knight, Boylan, Neil Gregory and this year even Micky Bennett with Chenners & Protheroe coming up the rear, (both have had some poor games this year). It'll be interesting to see if Parms comes straight back into the side once he's 100%. I hear he's having a run out for the reserves soon...

I don't really see how useful it is for us to carry on this sort of debate on a public discussion board, albeit the Canvey Exclusive board. I accept the notion of free speech, but some free speech is better kept for arguments in the bar or on the coach coming home from a game.

Can't quite see how we can help our team, improve their performance in increase their morale by airing our dirty washing in this format. I know Jeff had a toot on BBC Essex, but that is his right as the boss.

I find some of the things said in this thread so far to be quite unpleasant and rather unnecessary. My match report was hard-hitting, but I went to pains to keep names and personalities out of it.

Only my point of view of course, you can tell me to s o d off (as long as you do it nicely!).

Although i didnt mention names when i started this thread i think the fans who pay good money to support the team have every right to express their views on this forum, at least we keep it on the exclusive and dont wash our dirty linen in public.

I think for too long Canvey fans have been too reluctant to speak their mind and its refreshing to have new people joining the forum who are willing to do so, nobody has been that nasty in their comments and they are only airing their views.

I believe that if we have players who are not up to the job or have not got the right attitude towards the club they deserve to be critisized.

Sorry Merv this is just my opinion and i am too much of a gentleman to tell you to sod off !
