Suspect package Victoria.....

.....or rather, on the railway bridge approaching Victoria.

 

Victoria has come to a grinding halt, services diverted into & out of Cannon Street / Blackfriars which will create congestion on the lines serving these stations.

Station may be re-opening soon after the item on the bridge has been blown up via 'a controlled explosion'.

Got 343 from Blackfriars to Bromley South - on time - only to hear the dreaded words "major delays due to Security Alert at Victoria" - fortunately on crossing platforms, the 350 train was arriving at the correct time for the 420. And the train was empty as no-one had obviously been arond to catch it at Victoria.

 

The only problem they had was opening the doors at both Bromley & Rochester - it had to be done manually and took 2 or 3 minutes both times.

And how to you get to be a moderator? I think what Fleet Fanatic was doing was delivering a service. I was in London today, I was crossing at Tottenham Court Road when I heard a bang. It sounded more like a gun. Still didn't find out what it was could have been a car backfiring?

This is a general forum, so non-football topics are allowed. Seeing as a fair few of our fellow Fleet fans work in London, unlike some of the school-age delinquents (sorry for stereotyping), there are times when I post travel info to assist in their journeys home.

The post that you refer to that I moved (yes it was me) was moved because the subject matter belong in a forum that already existed. (International football I believe?)

That is one aspect of a moderator's role - to move posts if deemed neccessary! That way we don't have the same subjects repeated accross all the forums.

If you have a problem with any action, you can, like anybody else, either pm me or contact the admin team.

I hope that this answers your questions.

I agree with it being a general forum , and anything goes (clean) of course, and dont mind reading about other things not linked directly to gnfc.

my question of what has any of this to do with gnfc, was based on my thread being moved, so i assumed it wasnt being used as a general forum, so yes F.F you have cleared a matter up.

I guess i jumped in feet first, without asking,and i am not to proud opologise.

Only the fact that imminenet redundancy and a decent boss (have to put that as he reads thes pages) prevented me from making the effort from Deptford to London and I got home at 2pm
