What to do after March

Recommended Posts

So perusing the latest league table as one does after a 5-1 away win, I notice that Concord have already played a third of their league fixtures. With another four scheduled for them before the end of October, they would have played almost half their League fixtures before Halloween!

Yes I understand the reasons ie bad weather, fixture back log etc but looking at the best-case scenario (because aforementioned club will go nowhere in the Vase this season), they will have a lot of blank Saturdays between December and the end of the season or will be twiddling their thumbs come next March.

Can anyone tell us WHY??????

I cannot understand it either.....

Why play midweek games when some saturday's will be free later on in the season...?

In the Ryman league Div 2 we DO NOT play any league mid week games....hence regular saturday's throughout the season and we only play cup games in mid week.

I'm sure the majority of players and supporters would prefer to see league games on a Saturday and cup games in midweek, particuarly with the number of teams in the ESL....

It needs to be reorganised..... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" />

Well myself and others were lambasted when the fixtures for the early part of the season were issued (probably by League officials) and we were accused of moaning etc. But I wish they would come on here and explain themselves as to a) Too many games early in the season and B) playing the same team at least twice in a short space of time. They keep saying the weather could turn bad, but I hardly think we will be expecting another ice age.

At least this is something we can all moan about, but is there a solution that will make everybody happy? I doubt it.
