More cup action for them next week - Berkhamsted Town v Potters Bar Town in the Brian Hitchings Cup.

 

When the date for the next round of the FA Youth Cup is confirmed, I will try to get the PBT Southern Counties Youth League match postponed again to give them a free week as they had this week.

Well. According to the FA draw, it's ETFC's.

Youth players are dual-registered to both clubs. They play as Enfield Town in the FA Youth Cup as, at the time the applications needed to be in, we were uncertain of whether we would be running a youth team this season so we didn't enter.

 

We have now cancelled our league match at home to Ware in two weeks time to allow the boys a clear week to play in the next round.

No, it's because we had no intention of poaching anybody and would probably not even have had a youth team this year had we not received a telephone call out of the blue during the summer asking if we would be interested in taking on the side we now have. The matter was discussed at senior officer level between ETFC & PBT before any agreement was made to take the side on.
