Why the big change ?

The official answer is.... So that I can build something better. Problem is that the old software becomes dated - and doesn't allow me to build new features for people. Old software can also be a security risk for a server - hence the need to update. But this was a very big jump in software, and with a large(ish) forum that is hacked with so many features, the only way is to start again...

 

Don't worry - this forum will soon look similar to how it did before

 

If you want another reason, you will have to wait until I see you

Couple of questions for you Ian W.

 

1. Why doesn't it highlight threads that have been updated since the last time you logged on?

2. Why doesn't it tell you how many new postings have been added since the last time it was updated?

3. How do you get the Hornchurch forums to appear when you log in, like you used to be able to on the old site?

In fact my new set-up means I can in fact make it even better - trust me However it might take a week or so before I can get it all sorted.
