New site design

I quite like it. It going to take me a bit of time to get used to the colour scheme and menus, but what does everyone think?

Improved Menu's will be added very soon - ignore the colour scheme - a) this you can control from 'My Home' and I will be adding several new stylesheets - so you can alter it to a scheme of your liking....

It's looking good!

 

I like having the links to both Slough forums (fora?) at the top of the page, and similarly the direct 'Slough' link on the main index page.

 

Having the Instant Graemlins directly available is also good.

 

But I echo Gary's comments (elsewhere) about new posts not being very obvious - I liked the change of title colour, etc, on the previous design.

 

Also the 'scorcher' indication - I thought this meant it was a 'flamer' (not quite the same thing!)

BTW - bold highlighting of new posts IS working - at least in the 'Cool blue - Darklines' style.

Ian, on the old site you could hover over a post, to see by the first 10-15 words and decide whether you wanted to go in and view or just ignore, that feature does not appear at present, is it likely to be added.

As mentioned elsewhere, will be adding this one shortly. I haven't stopped in the last 3 days, and only had 4 hours kip last night - so please hold fire - I will do it next

 

Re your logging out - have you closed down all your browser windows and tried again - I would even reboot - might be a Windows issue, with the cookies.
