Bumped into Greg Deacon in town on Saturday evening.

 

He's told me he's playing under Cookie at Stotfold for the time being.

 

What a waste. Castle - you should be ashamed of yourself for letting a talent like this slip through your fingers.

 

Can someone tell me what division Stotfold are in, please?

To put the record straight ... (in their current state most players are Leeds United quality) ..............Leeds last week offered Jake the opportunity of moving "up t'North" where they will find him a club to play for until the end of the season (they were going to ask if City could arrange this in this area but events somewhat overtook that situation). They will then monitor his progress with a view to a full 12 week pre season trial.

 

Jake is thinking this over ... just started a new job at The Hatfield Sports Village ...getting work up there ....where to live etc. etc. Early days.

 

Until he decides he would like to play regular football. Cookie likes him, took the time to speak to him, so why not ?

 

As for me, who cares ??
