Thanks Tony. Not as bad as I was told then cos today was supposed to be a prominent and important day, as was told.Though not the announcement that was expecting am glad its now a positive move though am hoping this is not yet another "fob us off" announcement. Wont hold my breath having said that. Am just looking, like others, for that building work to start. Lets hope this time it will ACTUALLY HAPPEN.

What do you mean "if this is true"? Who did you get this info from then Tony? You sounded like it WAS true originally.Maybe just another rumour, albeit a positive one, similar to that which I passed on previously.Agree, if it is true and it dosent hinder proceedings then YES we should all get there and show that the solidarity is still there.

Sorry Tony, just got your private e.mail and was appreciated, but to be honest that particular person has said things to me before and has been well out. Am talking about the first named in your e.mail by the way and not the latter. Still its something to go on whether it be true OR false. Has lifted my spirits temporarily anyway. Now hopefully, for 3 points tomorrow. Will keep my ears to the ground anyway and cheers again.

I do know. I will not walk away. I will quite happily walk into any enquiry set up into this complete fiasco and identify my self. As I have said before provided the person responsible for demolishing the ground and more importantley digging up the pitch is also there properly identified.!!!!!!!!!

The true state of affairs is that on the 14 October 2004 the "Heads of Terms" will be submitted to the full council with the recommendation from the officers that this document be signed.

We have been at this stage on many occasions previously so why is this date any different.SOMEONE is holding up proceedings for whatever reason and hoping that THIS time will be any different is not encouraging. Pressure put on the council at every opportunity is the key.

It is my opinion, and I say again, only my opinion, that the TDC are stalling and stalling and stalling in the hope that the decision is taken away from them and that the developers get fed up with waiting, like others before, and leave us high and dry. This is the TDCs strategy I'm sure of it.We have lost developers previously for the same reason so why could this not occur yet again.

Cookie. Firstly, the Club and it's new backers has NOT been "here many times before" as you wrongly said above. On August 5th, the Council effectively runbber stamped the go-ahead for the project. They still had to receive (and probably have by now) the final detailed plan which will take the usual 8 weeks. Between Aug 5th and now I would imagine that the fine details of the Heads of Terms has been has been gone through by the Councils lawyers. If you dont know the facts about this case then please stop posting crapon this site. You are plainly ognorant of the workings of local authorities. Please bear in mnd that this project has involved Council officrs and members in thousands of hours of time.

I would hope that you and other postees now sit back enjoy the football and a return to Hartsdown next season <img src="/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/elephant.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/icon14.gif" alt="" />

I will shut up ONLY when I see a change in attitude from the council. You may be a council employee but you wont pull the wool over my eyes. You certainly talk like one.And so YOU know the facts do you? .It dosent need the facts to be known fully to see what has happened over the last couple of years and no amount of bluffing by them or you will convince me that I am wrong. However,I am still hopeful of a positive outcome but you , if suspected, as a TDC council employee will realise that keeping the pressure up, in whatever way we can can only help our cause, with or without the true facts. Lets face it it got you on here replying didnt it, so it must be working. I know that the council leader and his friends look into this forum so thats why I put my bit onto this forum. In the hope of replys excactly like yours.I am over the moon that I get a response from you.The pressure is surely working!. If you know MORE facts than the rest of us, as you seem to, as you should do, then please enlighten us. Giving out dates that anyone can make up just dosent impress me, mate. P.S. we HAVE lost backers previously because of delying tactics.

Say hello to the leader for me, unless that is you himself. Scapegoat above is probably you also. Oh well you seem to be the man in the know but wont give your real name! Anyone can do that chum.

Cookie-i think your efforts on this are outstanding; and you could be correct that this ends up going the way it has before.

My main concern is that when council action due diligence on the funders there may be a wobble; but on other hand there may not.

However, i think Mr Phillips does make reasonable points, and councils who are responsible to the rate payers do have procedures and timetables to which they must abide, and even the Queen of England would not get those changed.

At this stage at least, i think we should sit back and let it take its course.

I tend to agree that anything else would be counterproductive at the moment.

I also question whether the council have ever actually done anything wrong in all of this ,apart from probably correctly, reject unsustainable and unprofessional schemes
