Gottskalksson joins Gulls

 

Torquay United have agreed a deal with former Brentford and Hibernian keeper Olafur Gottskalksson.

The 36-year-old Icelandic international has joined the Gulls until the end of the season after impressing on trial.

 

He is negotiating a settlement over the pay-out he received when injury forced him to stop playing a couple of years.

 

Gottskalksson is fully recovered and will complete his switch to Plainmoor once a seven-days' notice to former club Margate has expired.

Torquay have completed the signing of former Iceland goalkeeper Olafur Gottskalksson ahead of Saturday's trip to Peterborough.

 

The 36-year-old former Brentford and Hibs player is expected to make his Gulls debut at London Road as Dutchman Arjan Van Heusden is ruled out by injury.
