Hi Mark.

Two so far. Let's wait and see if he's at Maidenhead tomorrow.

As you're here Mark, how's it going at Cressing Road? Bjorn's still there, I see. How many goals has Abbo put away this term?

Don't forget, Mark. Keep the books and records in order.

Huge.

Ben Abbey? That [***!!***] scored the winner for Southend against us in the cup a few seasons ago. Not a bad striker.

Now I see what you mean by headlines, Webbo, you lap-dog.

Southend United. Now that is a serious pedigree. You can keep your Leyton Orient, Birmingham, Wycombe Wanderers, Colchester United, Chelsea squad number, err..err.. one game at Swindon Town, etc. etc.

The Mighty Shrimpers. This baby will have real class. Look at Mel Capleton. Same mould, mate. That's a track record all right.

He did OK at Southend. Scored a few goals for them but for some reason Dave Webb didn't fancy him and let him go.

He's been drifting around the non league scene since. Think he's been at Crawley and Gravesend.

I have had a couple of exchanges with Gravesend & Northfleet fans who rate Ben Abbey highly. They were surprised that the club 'let him go' at the end of last season. One said 'Don't let him take any penalties lol', whatever that means.

Perkins? Perkins? Rings a vague bell.

I see that Elliot someoneorother who signed and committed his future to the Saints a couple of weeks back, has signed and committed his future to Hampton & Richmond Borough and came off the bench to score with a 25 yard shot on Saturday.

The not very interesting link to these items [apart from Perkins] is that H&R manager Alan Devonshire 'discovered ' Ben Abbey while he, Devonshire, was at the helm at Maidenhead.
