The Virgin's son?

Well Richard Branson is Virgin, isn't he.

Unless... the Virgin could be Mary, so her son is Jesus.

And presumably by that it's going to be Oasis.

Songbird?

How the f*ck do you get from that to that?

As for the extra, can't remember the title but I've introduced many of my friends to this band

I'll humour you Sniffer.

The Virgin is of course Mary. Her son was called Jesus who so the story goes was born in a barn.

Our good friend, Mr Paul David Jones has on occasions been referred to as Jesus. He has also made no secret of the fact that he is a fan of the Mancunian band Oasis. As a regular player of the Top 10 at 10 game he will have noticed that there is a trend to play an Oasis track at least twice a week in this slot. (obviously this is dependent on the years chosen.) With me so far ? That anyway is how Zealster guessed the band.

The bird mentioned was in fact a very famous Opera Chick. (Not as famous as Opera Chick from the CBX but famous never the less.) As such, she could be referred to as a songbird (a women who sings.)

Does that clear it up ?

Thanks for the Art Brut introduction to. In a roundabout way you did introduce me to them, but I won't go into that now.

Basically at 10am each morning, Virgin do their own version of The Golden Hour which used to be (and may still be) on Radio One of a weekday morning.

Gertcha used to just put the songs down for me to guess the years, but that was way too easy, so now he does cryptic type clues for each song to make it a bit tougher.

Are your clues for the title, the artist, or both, SteveP?

Somehow I've got this reputation for being Oasis' biggest fan in the whole wide world ever!
