Seems Jefferson Louis is on his way to Forest Green. Would have liked to have seen him playing last night. Played in the tough matches against Hereford and Barnet, and think he might have got one or two last night, but there we go, think given time he would have come good for us

He cannot be recalled in the first 28 days of his loan period which ends on 24th September. As it will then be too late for FGR to register him for Saturday, he will probably stay until after the Accrington match.

 

In any event this is all speculation at the moment as nothing appears to have been announced officially by any of the three clubs involved.

I've done some phoning and this is what I have come up with.

 

1. JL will be with us to the end of loan spell on Monday.

2. FGR are interested in him, but he would rather stay with us.

3. No decision has been made (or no-one is saying) as to whether we want to extend his loan.

Seems like, at the moment Dave, you are almost having to spend as much time & effort playing at PR for the club, as you did when doing the website last year - I only hope (although I doubt it!) that the club appreciate your efforts (and your no doubt, unpaid for your efforts, unlike our friendly CEO!!)

Definetly wouldn't say no to having Louis in the squad if we can extend his loan or sign him on wages that aren't too high. Considering that he would probably play a backup role to Essendoah and Manny, he'd be good quality player to have available in case of injury. Of course, I wouldn't say sign him if we can't really afford to pay his wages or could find someone of the same calibre for less money.
