Please Mr Gibson

We've now played 11 games, 8 against teams in the lower half and none against the top 4 teams. We have 8 points and following on from last season's dismal league form (forget the play-offs)it is beyond dispute that Steve Castle has NOT got the capabilities to manage a team at this level.

Whilst there is still time, and before we lose contact with the other sides and get knocked out of both cup competitions, please dismiss him - by mutual consent of course to use todays fashionable phrase.

Think about it PLEASE.

Must say I'm baffled. Here's a quote from Gibson's column in the programme available at last nights game:

"...this Club has got to survive on a commercial basis or it will die."

Well, I would have thought one of the first things a financially successful organisation needs are strong decent leaders who know what they are doing - Steve Castle anyone?!

One way of getting money into the club is to get more people coming to the games. It's NOT going to happen with performances like last night. It was terrible. I'm sorry Mr Gibson, but you are deluding yourself if you think we are playing good football. The teams we've played have been beatable. Newport, last night were nothing special. Steve Castle bringing himself on as "super-sub" was laughable. Castle mentions that he is getting fustrated - well what the f**k does he think alot of supporters are getting.

It's so obvious - it's time for a change!

It has also become apparent to me that, despite not having won a major trophy since the 1950's, Newcastle United and their fans still believe they are a massive club - one of the Top 5 clubs in the country.

A somewhat blinkered view that would go some way to explaining why our Chairman believes we are playing quality football and that the reporting of our matches, by presumably Tom Lewis and Dave Tavener, is a tad unfair.

Here's some news. The reporting is spot on. And even Aston Villa are a bigger club than the Magpies.
