As for Matt Joseph’s position, this area has been weakened a long time a go since JK (Kennedy) that is, moved from there into the centre. JK has played extremely well in the middle but to the detriment of right midfield. I wonder if JK is finding things a bit tough in the middle nowadays and could switch back out there. With Duffers on the left, this used to provide two good outlets to play down, rather than most going down the left. JK’s link up play was great out there and provides another mix of football options with this outlet.

Sorry, but Neil Midge and Matt have never exploited that area as JK used to.

 

As for the coach incident, hasn’t this happened on occasions before? We don’t want this kind of thing and perhaps with the extra police on hand at matches could escort the coaches well away from the Leigh Beck area. Just wished they caught and made an example of the little ******** who we suspect they are.

i dont think the trouble was started by anyone from canvey..i saw someone ( i wont call him a crawley supporter because i didnt get the impression he was) ejected from the crawley end.. he was on his mobile phone shouting something about gillingham taking the p*** out of millwall and why hadnt they turned up ?

as me and my mate where walking in 3 crawley lads where about to head round the corner to the away entrance and they kicked over a traffic cone and then put it on a car bonnet .. catagory 'A' or what!!..

well at least i think they were crawley fans as they were singing 'we are crawley'.. it could have been a cunning disguise

i can imagine all the problems a football ground at a sports center will cause.

 

im pretty sure we can beat 568 people in a petition, just from the neighbours in the park lane area.

 

also as far as amunition goes, im sure it will be looked as a good reason for us to move to waterside, keep any trouble away from the main parts of the island

i agree with you Ken, there would be a lot of problems involved with a new ground effecting nearby residents.......because so many people live next to the roundabout dont they Spotter!?!?!!?!

At the same time I was pissed off with the Crawley fans making twats out of themselves, one of them was ACTUALLY hilarious.

 

The ginger kid behind the goal shouting abuse at us with his top of for half an hour, I'm pretty convinced that the people that were shouting abuse had something going on. The main bloke doing it hugged the half-naked bloke for about 10 minutes afterwards... Hmmm. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

 

Maybe it wasn't Crawley fans afterall though, didnt see him with a Crawley top on!

I think you will find that 'Spotter' is a well known Southend fan who is known for trying to stir things up.

Talk about jealousy. They cant handle it that there is another team in South East Essex area that is on the rise.

They know if we get the new ground then we will have decent facilities and more of their fed up fans will come and watch us.

After the game i stayed for a drink but when i left i saw the crawley fans coach which was just out side leigh beck. The old bill were every where.

 

On the playing side i would like to see keeling on the right instead of joseph who hasnt impressed me since the exeter game.

Well I think that we should try and find the little s**T that threw the brick and take him on the away match to crawley and then announce that this was the one that threw the brick, im sure they woud give him a warm welcome!!!
