I know JC is playing some of the squad players in this cup and why not but should we not get the points first and experiment when we are through ,

should have scored a hatfull tonight so 1 - 1 is a little bit dissapointing.

I think Jim is right to play a squad side. Considering ETFC don't have a reserve side, the League Cup is an ideal opportunity to give players who don't always play a run-out. There is no point picking up unnecessary injuries & suspensions in this competition. Jim is right to focus on the League and the FA Cup and FA Vase.

I didn't go to the game last night,but the biggest suprise was seeing that finch scored. I've seen him play on many occassions and he's never even looked like scoring.

 

Regarding absent players..well Kitenge's dissapeared,i'll also doubt whether we'll see Asideu again. If i were Jim ,i would make every player that was injured turn up to watch every game,then you would no if they were still part of the squad or not....If i was injured for my Sunday team,i wouldn't dream of not turning up to support the lads.Why should it be any different at this level.

I read the local rag and the comments on this forum (when you win) ... it goes very quiet when you don't!

The comment was me trying to be polite to a townie who, once again, like a large number of your supporters who post on this forum, demonstrates contempt for the ESL and its members.

ETFC are the 'hand' that feeds the the ESL (and its teams) at the moment,both in terms of money put in through the turnstiles and through national publicity,and so on.

 

Seriously though, both ETFC and the ESL have been good for EACH OTHER,niether owes the other side anything.

 

DB,don't start the snide comments ,that you were fond of making when at EFC. The Abbey and ETFC have a friendly relationship.Don't be the spanner in the works. <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
