GHA EFM

Recommended Posts

Ladies Night bombed (not literally!) so I've heard. No confirmation from Claire, one should add.

Gibson hates EFM. It's all our fault. See Zag's comments about "obsession" on other board. Hit the nail on the head, I reckon.

re: Park Street.

I used to walk from Park Street to the ground a few years back when I lived up on Watling Street. Wouldn't miss a match in those days.

Now I live in St Albans, I shan't be bothering to walk in the opposite direction.

just for you GHA.....

Magnificent Win At Bradford

A unpredictable 30-13 win at Bradford Dudley Hill today was by far the best in St Albans Centurions' nine year history and despite coming just a fortnight after their previous best - a surprise comfortable win over Warrington Woolston - is surely the shock of the NL3 season so far. As the Dudley Hill coaching staff admitted afterwards, this was no fluck or narrow victory: St Albans dominated and were vastly superior all over the Neil Hunt Memorial Ground on a day when everything clicked for the Hertfordshire side and Dudley Hill failed to get going.

The basis for St Albans win - coming after a 180 mile journey - was a tremendous effort by their pack, in particular the outstanding Andrew Miller and Aaron Kwong and the reliable Scott Drewe and Richard Smith, but it was the nippy little half-back Jamie Zonta from Far North Queensland and intelligent full-back play of Kristian Warner that got crucial tries to keep Bradford at bay.

Other scorers were Andy Milsom, Dene Miller and Rocky Edwards with Aaron Kwong kicking three goals. Full report to follow.

The Cents now face famous club Bramley at Woollams on Saturday 25 September knowing two more wins will take them to the Grand Final at Widnes on 10 October.
