HOT SPICY CIDER (from Fifer’s 75th Anniversary Cookbook)

 

1 gallon Apple Cider

4 - 4 inch cinnamon sticks

½ C. firmly packed brown sugar

6 oz. orange juice concentrate (frozen)

½ tsp. ground nutmeg

½ C. lemon juice

20 whole cloves

 

Combine first five ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat & simmer 10 minutes. Strain spices from cider. Add orange juice concentrate & lemon juice. Serve hot, with a cinnamon stick if desired.

It was called an "Adios Amigos".

 

It was Vodka, Tequila, Rum, Gin, Triple Sec, Amaretto, Kahlua and Grand Marnier, mixed up with sours and a bit of cranberry juice.

 

Very nice too, but bloody strong.
