I've just noticed from Thurrock's website that Cliff Akurang has been transfer listed.

 

Not that I'm saying we should sign him but the games he has played against us he has looked very dangerous with his pace and strength. Also, he has certainly banged a few goals away over the last couple of seasons.

 

From memory the FA Cup game that Thurrock played against Luton last year certainly proved he can mix it at a higher level.

 

So, my thoughts are that he would prove to be a very useful addition to our squad. Does anyone else share my thoughts?

 

Just thinking that if Ziggy goes after his 3 month contract, Akurang would be a perfect replacement.

Agree 100% 'DEAR STU'!

 

Please will Hillsy or our chief scout give him another look over or ask to have him on trial.

 

He is skilfull, fast and knows where the goal is. We have a great side and squad but he would surely be a great addition ! Hot only can he play upfront but also on the wing.

Sorry Unc, it was Kandol who failed to turn up at your place. Akurang is the tricky winger who scored 35 goals last season from out wide. I think he is good enough for league football and he says he wants to leave in order to play at a higher level.

now it makes sense....I can see why he wants to further his career but would have thought that he could see the possiblity of conference footie next year with you lot...

 

anyway...good player...

I suppose we have a chance via the playoffs but to be fair to Cliff, he wants to play at a higher level. I don't feel that we can go much above lower reaches of the Conference long term and he wants better than this. Therefore, £100k plus 25% sell on clause will do nicely. <img src="/images/graemlins/pineapple.gif" alt="" />
