if you all look in the papers and in the observer site under community forum

lots going on....I need your help to counter pettitions and bad postings, this is the time slough supporters unite to save our club

this can not be left to be done by the few...that is if you really do care...

if not...then we will not get our new home...

There appears to be plenty of opposition to our move and it would appear that Chris is almost single handedly fighting the cause on the Slough Observer Community Forum

Can we all take a second to get over there and continually post our support for the move and development of the club.

Don't forget to come down on Saturday mornings either to help out the few doing the work at the club over the summer. Plenty to do and jobs for all ages and capabilities - proven by the fact I'm down there probably doing more damage than good!

Chris and Gary,

I have checked out the correspondence on the Slough Community site and Chris is talking about money from an unspecified source to fund the new ground. Has anything ever been posted her or on the official site about this - or have I missed something.

I am more than happy to chip in some support, but it is difficult if we have no idea what is going on behind the scenes - how can you defend what you don't know?

One of the correspondents seemed to have a good point when saying something on the lines of "Surely the football club is already on the best site it could be!"

That is as they say 'inside information'. I've heard nothing of who it is, but they are obviously not supposed to be known yet, otherwise, it would be announced.

As for being on the best site already, are we? We're on a site which we cannot develop. How are we meant to progress beyond our current level with the existing site? It's certainly not Conference standard anymore so should we stay we can rule out ever getting back there. It's probably verging on Ryman Premier standard if that....

I read in the Express last week that the allotment holders are being offered a new site where the current grond stands. This must strike people as daft swaping places with the allotments. I take Gary's point and yes the current ground would need vast improvements but surely it would be quicker and cheaper. As ever the whole situation is very complicated and whilst on the surface there may be simple solutions we clearly do not know anywhere near the full details. We all want the club to progress but it is hard to motivate people when everything is so unclear and uncertain.

staurt..so true what you say . the situation at the moment ..is martin deaner has asked the council to come up with a site , and after 4 previous site have come up with the site next door (in slough controlled planing area) so potentionally this would be the best site !

Of course we would have stayed where we are now , if Alan Thorne had got planing permission from south bucks cc when he needed, but there is no way they will ever do this , this is why we have to move, of course for the allotement holders , the orginal situation would help us all, but while we are out of the borough we will go no where, at least the man is trying even if to make a quick killing , but slough council will need to ensure all the dots are made and the "T" crossed to ensure the stadium belongs to the town , therefore ensuring we don't get in a situation as now !

Martin Deaner will have backers...not his money , but a deal never the less....

IT IS MAKE AND BREAK TIME FOR MARTIN DEANER - THE SUPPORTERS - OUR FOOTBALL CLUB - AND OUR TOWN !

We need to get every one behind the move , if it does not come off then at least we have shown our true support for our towns team.

good luck to all ...we need everyone to come together on this .....

up the rebels....

A load of rubbish is being printed in the local papers by some people intent in putting a giant spoke in the wheel of the proposed move to the new stadium. How on earth can a new stadium be a danger to children?

If run properly it can benefit the whole community including schools. companies etc etc.

I cannot believe there is already a petition of over a thousand against the move, I think someone is playing evil games already.

Are the STSA going to organise a petition before it is too late. It should not be done over the e-mail as many people do not have computers. why not include schools and companies in the petition as well as supporters. Let us know what is being planned so that we can all make our feelings known.
