Top Gun, I know life goes on, but maybe you should also speak to some of their supporters. A lot of ETFC people have long memories & can't forgive & forget that easily. We did so much for so little!!!!

They are a totally different bunch of people at Enfield/ware these days with Laz ,Ed ,Derek ,Larraine,Terry Bulls*itter Back all long gone, The only person you would recognise from your commitee days is Alan Farmer and he was hardly disliked.I do respect that many of you put in so much Time and effort into E F C and at the end of the day got Cr*pped on by lazarou .But I do personally think that the club has had its day and that it has become a lost cause. It just really sickens me that some of you Twist the Knife when they have a Bad result,So lets just leave them alone and concentrate on more traditional hated enemies such as Barnet Yeovil and the man at leyton.

Is that right? Well, I don't think promotion to Ryman 1 would be any good, and probably even the Doc Martens will be a lot of travelling. Maybe we'll come and join you in the Essex league next season!

I'm sure you'll be very welcome in the ESL talk to Sir Bob. We have our eyes set firmly on the Southern for next season

all this from just saying two results!

It's because of the FA Cup history that EFC have. It's sad to see them go out in the First Round Qualifying. I remember going to Leicester and Preston and I will never forget beating Cardiff, Torquay and Chesterfield. I recall one season when EFC had such a reputation they didn't have to play until the First Round PROPER!

Top Gun, you missed my point, what I meant was some of the EFC people that use this Forum, have a go at us Townies as well. The only person that I would know At EFC now is Alan Farmer & a few players & I personally don't have a problem with any of them. They must remember what goes around comes around.

Reading this forum makes me feel quite old sometimes.

There was a time when all the players were a lot older than me ....... !!!! Not true now. Bring back John Ridout - he was the same age as me!!!

I also remember watching some classic EFC FA cup ties:

- Hereford, Port Vale & Barnsley at WHLane

- a drubbing of Wimbledon

- an amazing match at Orient

- losing to Cardiff a couple of times

- losing to Yeovil 0-1 years & years ago - 4th Qualifying round I think

- was the 7-1 win at Barnet a cup match??!!

But Saturday felt just as good!!!!!

Junior you never went to southbury road,If you had you may have a different opinion, and yes I admit to being over sensitive ,I was an E's fan from 1973 when I first saw them play walthamstow avenue, I still have some friends at the old club even now. As much as I support the Town I still always like to know their result .It Just Hacks me off that a tiny amount of people still carry on some kind of post Lazarou Grudge , and yes I do know there are a couple of people at E F C who Hold a Vendetta from their side of the fence. And did you Know members of their Board were good enough to come and see us play sudbury recently so maybe attitudes are begining to change afterall.

topgun- does that mean that ALL town supporters must have gone to southbury road?!?

I don't think he said that. I'd venture a guess that most did, but over the years that will change.

Well let's hope it does change; otherwise the future of ETFC is very limited.

well i for one never really saw any games at southbury road, although i did see a few home games at borehamwood and at St albans.so i hold no grudge with those at efc and don't really care what results they have as they are a different club.

anyway my time as a semi regular spectator at etfc is nearly over as i am off to live up the country in lincolnshire.

so if anyone can enlighten me to what decent non league teams play in the Lincoln area
