Found it strange how Eddie said he was looking to sign a centre-back and a forward. I personally think were OK in these positions. Matt Murphy has played well since joining and is a good addition up front and we already have five centre-backs at the club.

 

Personally i'd have thought a right-back (so Carbon can play right wing) and another central midfielder would have been priority?

Any sign on a possible change to 4-4-2?

Perhaps not Tom. We may be trying for 6 centre backs. I do think we need another forward and depending on the likely absence of Hakki possibly another midfielder.

Why have 6 centre-backs? We definitely need a creative mid-fielder the way things are at the moment and a pacey forward.

Thing is though, we are now playing our only creative midfielder other than Hakki up front.

If Eddie is looking for another centre back that would give us:

 

Moller, Saulsbury, Daly, Murphy, Gyoury & new boy

 

I would say that was a fair indication he wants to remain as a 3-5-2.

 

I would agree though, we need some real out and out pace in the team. I think our quickest player (Hodgey allegedly) is also our strongest aerial attacking threat, where it really should be one or the other.

 

Anyway, let's hope we return to winning ways tomorrow...

Perhaps Gary he is geting a new centre back so he can get rid of Daly.

I don't think it's quite that severe just yet Roge. Daly's had three mistakes which have led to three goals, but it's only 'really' cost us in the Cheshunt game as such. Don't think we'd have had a sniff in the other two matches (Eastleigh & Staines) regardless of those mistakes.

Maybe its to provide some more competition between the players. Daly's does seem to be a sure pick for matches, maybe its just to keep him on his toes. But at this moment in time we dont have any idea what Eddie's plans are.

Gary he may not of cost us the games, but someone with a bit of pace could have saved them.
