STFC Players Released?

Nope, they have not, it was just a case of misunderstanding by the Isthmian Webmasters website.

Nobody has left the club yet and it is thought and hoped that nobody will leave. The only possible trasnfer is Steve Hale from Hayes - but I believe that is still to be finalised.

According to the RymanFans.net. website, STFC have released strikers Neville Roach, Simon Ullathorne and Michael Bartley.

Now, I can understand the release of Roach (he was on a week to week contract and being tracked by numerous Premier and Conference clubs), Ullathorne (likely to have a heavy wage and a bad attitude problem), but why release Michael Bartley, a young local striker with bags of pace and an eye for goal?

Agree, cracking player but would only keep if he is within budget, I feel he would definately help a sustained promotion charge if we had a full season out of him....

Ullathorne always had an attitude problem - having started so promisingly with us (Gravesend), he has rather wasted his abilities ever since & has seemingly spent much of his time travelling from club to club - a real shame given that he certainly could have done well , if he had really applied himself.

As for Roach, we've certainly heard no more at Gravesend, about a possible move to us, but then we're unlikely to hear anything until the deal is done.

And, of course, its always possible he might come to us for a pre season trial.
