Sorry for starting a new message but it would not allow me to add to the previous roll about "free loading"

In addition to the ten comittee members who I can confirm without doubt get free entry to Clarence there are several other people who also do:-

Paul Jones: dee-jay for 30 minutes then enjoys 90 minutes free football.

Vicky & Claire: occasionally serve in bar between natter-breaks and then are allowed in to ground.

Spiky hair young lady by shop: gets free entry although able to watch all/most of game.

Programme seller: as above.

To me these people have been regular supporters for a majority of years and would provide a regular income to the football club were it not for their free entry.

It has become common place for regular fans to find themselves 'roles' within the football club as means of gaining free entry to games.

The 15 people (inc Supporters club comittee) mentioned alone are depriving the football club in the region of three grand per season in gate reciepts.

Eight pounds is no kings ransom and I'm sure all on that list can afford it once or twice in a fortnight.

Peter Knock on the turnstile and the steward on the gate in the fence by the tea bar I have spotted waving friends through without paying or tickets costing St Albans City more income.

& anyone carrying a box fill with crap are able to get through the gate unchallenged something I hope to put to the test on Saturday.

I will let you know Saturday evening whether I managed it.

Footnote to Jill King: I could not add to your message but there are enough problems evident here without calling for the manager to re-sign. Give him time.

The above is probably all true. However, in defence of the "Paul Jones" you describe above, he works longer than 30 minutes and I know that he spends time at home preparing CDs etc for each performance. He's also volunteered to PA the entire day if required. As for watching the game, you don't get a very good view from the bar where you'll often find him.

only time will tell of course, something he's had more than enough of

as for people getting in free NO-ONE should get in free,

You could always pack yourself into a box, NF and get someone else to carry the box in. It shouldn't weigh too much, it will be mostly full of wind.

And you also forgot the freeloaders who jump the fence.
