I just posted on the ESL thing that apparently the radio commentary programme tonight made the same mistake.

 

It's ironic really. So often in the old days at Southbury Road, people referred to the old Enfield FC as Enfield Town!

I mentioned it last sunday when I was phoning in the teams and they said that they always send out Enfield Town.

Anywhere you spot that our name is wrong tell them,I eventually got Chelsea to correct it and I e-mailed Fulham last week.

It is a Press Association thing..They are still calling the Southern league the Doc Martens, the South Mids results still come across as Prem, Senior... Wakefield & Emley instead of Wakefield-Emley..

Even the other night's results were ballsed up. They put Ramblers v Ilford and Romford v APSA in the ESL league cup section. They have 16-year-old ex McDonald's employees pressing buttons who think the world stops after the top three in the Hype league and nobody checks anything. Next week should be fun. Check with teletext early doors and I can guarantee that you will have UniBond, Southern and Ryman fixtures when said teams will be involved in FA Cup replays.

Why don't you call yourselves.. the team formerly known as Enfield...they won't [****!!****] it up then!!
