Bertie Brayley

The Town Crier

Recommended Posts

Bertie Brayley has joined us on Loan. All being well, it should result in a permanent signing.

Bertie was given the option to remain at Braintree until the end of the season, but refused in favor of joining Billericay Town.

He is available to play for us at Southend Manor in our FA Cup tie this coming Saturday, and I know he is keen to do so. But we will have to wait and see if he is picked.

Bertie is a proven Goal scorer and will be an asset to our existing squad.

Welcome to our club Bertie.....Enjoy!

This looks like a good move to me as Brayley has a proven record at this level and hopefully can take some of the weight off Hocker's shoulders. With those two, Bradley Allen coming back to fitness and Stowey turning in some good performances of late, I think we shall soon start banging in a few more goals.

Well we obviously need more goals and as JL says Bertie has a decent record in past seasons at this level. If he and Hockers can hit it off together then there should be a few more goals coming our way.

Not sure about saturday though, always thought it was a 7 day registration period for FA competitions?

truth is that bertie actually wanted to go to ricay and leave braintree....

if you understood anything about footie you would know that a player cannot be forced to go on loan anywhere whilst under contract to a club...

bertie is under contract to Hx until next June or until we sell him....

until then he is free to just train with Hx and make himself available for selection or alternatively go on loan if HE so chooses...

he chose to go to Braintree for a loan spell...and now he has chosen to go to ricay...

as for Gary Calder...he's the Hx Chairman....not a fckn charity organisation...

have some respect...

Not sure I would start with Bertie, if Bradley is fit i would go with him and Hockers to start then look to bring Bertie on as a sub to give Hockers a rest. In an ideal world we would go into a commanding lead early in the 2nd half and be able to rest some of the key players who have been ever presnt this season, like Hockers and Trott. Don't suppose it'll be that easy though!
