Who can we blame for the 7-3 defeat?

i think the blame can only rest on 1 man Benevides. as till he was sent off we were a class act he ruind the flow and ment we played 75 mins with 10 men.

punching the ball over the bar was insane, was nothing the ref could do but show a red and send him of, school boy tatics should not be used at this level.

(after he went our play was totally disrupted)

the defence just about fell apart after half time, keister was having a bad game and pat passed to lewes more than to the gate (as seems normal with him hits and then looks).

Apologies Legend for trivialising, but I think we should avoid more witch hunts within the team whilst MFC struggles on other fronts

Legend, I think he was beating himself up enough for all of us. I saw him after and my heart went out to him. I don't think it is right to blame Peter, he was not playing in a position he knew or was right for him. He has shown considerable skill in a roaming midfield position and I think given experience will become a very valuable player for us. I think all of us were truly gutted at the result when for the first 20 minutes we looked and played so right.

Given that we all must be slighly masochist for taking all this agony and yet still staying behind the team all we can really do is keep giving support and hoping for the best. We have not the power to do anything else, it is beyond our control.

The one thing I would like to see is a bit more vocal support during matches, last night was silent in the face of a barrage of songs and taunts from the Lewes fans, and I suppose we would have done the same, but think what effect it would have had on our players.

Anyone going to Maidenhead? Perhaps we could shout a bit? There were only about 20 of us at Aldershot last year but boy did we make some noise. And that match started the renaissance of the team for the remainder of last season, and look how the lads played then.

only joy i had was taking the piss in second half outa scot ward. was worth the 8 quid alone when rocky nearly killed him.

he is still [***!!***] we only had 3 real shots on goal and all went in..

rest were weak and no challenge even for him.

Cannot agree with you re:Benevides Margate fan.

I am disgusted with myself by indulging in direct critism of an individual, but something must be done.

Benevides is frankly a liability in any position.

He has so much to learn.

The handball incident is another matter-thats an instinctive decision-its the rest of the package that is the concern.

I have alot of respect for Ck but he must shoulder responsibility here-signed him- not working out-not all signings do-does not matter as long as the error is attended to.

Instead the error is magnified by playing him in an even more critical position than midfield. At least in midfield occasionally there is some cover from the defence.

How he can be played in place of one of our top players and a seasoned campaigner like Barnett is beyond me.

A roaming midfield role is a luxury that we cannot afford.Frankly on the games i saw the roaming was as far away from the ball as possible.

At least Gradley gets between the player and the goal so is an obstacle to go around first.

My finger is poised over the delete button because i am embarrased to be so publicly critical, but this needs to be sorted.

CK picks the team, but must be encouraged to play Barnett-i would love to understand the reasons for him not playing the last two games.

Is Kevin Raines scouting the opposition these days-are we preparing the team or just turning up on the night.
