quite a few players are carrying niggles at the mo and hillsys is not wanting to tempt fate by playing some of them for 90 minutes...

 

worms was out yesterday as was jonny martin thru injury and clarkie and elam are both carrying thigh strains although not to any serious degree....

 

risking them for 90 minutes though could be trouble....

 

its critical that we keep all 23 players fit until after xmas when the twice weekly games and the cup ties are out of the way...

 

mind you...I'll settle for being in the january FA cup tie....

While I do share your passion for the Urchins, I really do think that Mr Hill (no, not benny!!) will be the one to call the shots as far as picking the team is concerned, and I'm almost certain that he is picking a team to win and not just picking his "mates".

This is a football club not a a playground, your right and as such i'm sure Hillsy beileves we as fans can question decisons. Infact one of our fans asked him what he was doing taking somebody off against Thurrock and he gave him a reason.

 

I don't doubt Hillsy's ability and never have done but that doesn't mean he is immune to anything being said against certain things that he does .... Is he ?

JM was due to start the match against carseyshalton on saturday but failed a late fitness test...

 

Lee Elam wwas carrying a slight groin but Hillsy played him instead and then replaced him as quickly as he felt able to given his view on the games pattern...

 

regardless of our personal views Hillsy will play who he wants and polite he may be but our views...including mine...will not be considered....respected yes...but he will pick the team...

 

I'm still fckn aggrieved about kilo and he knows it...but he's in charge and stands or falls by his decisions...same as we all do when the burden of responsiblity falls upon our shoulders...

 

I don't think any player can be assured of a place and in any event...why change a winning formula...

not everyone is going to agree 100% of the time but for me we have one 7 on the trot and playing the best football i have ever seen at hornchurch so gary for me is doing a grand job,as is everyone else connected to the club,long may it continue
