Sounds like theres a few more injuries to be picked up on Tuesday if this post from the Isthmian forum is correct.

 

"I suppose nobody should really be surprised that a team as ill-disciplined as Eastleigh should have thugs for fans. Apparently that was their 4th red card of the season, and according to their website they are already up to 17 bookings. The number 10 could easily have been sent off first half for a fairly blatent elbow on Henty (what has Gary done to annoy Eastleigh) and the number 11 could have no complaints about getting a straight red for a head-butt on Gary. If their "fan" did that sort of thing on a night out in Southampton he'd be hauled down the cop shop post haste, no doubt he, and the club, will get off scot free."

Were ganna be right down to the bare bones Tuesday by the look of it;

As they are all injured I believe.

At least our defence is intact then. I hope Danny Steer gets the chance he deserves down the left wing as well. My main worry is the lack of strikers. I thought at the start of the season that we needed another one, and even more so now.

 

Here's a thought, if things get that bad, a couple of the young attacking trialists have been doing well in the reserves. Don't know their names, but one of them got the third against Windsor reserves.

 

Another thing, where's Andy Deaner?

I was told yesterday that Deaner had left the club.

 

One thing that strikes me is that, while we definately have a better squad of players this year than last in that all of our squad members could feasibly be a starter, we haven't got as many players as last year (ie. Bakhsian, Braich, Brown, Bartley etc) who were at least available when the squad was stretched.

Actually received them today but Chelsea's money offer was too good to turn down. I'm off to play Paris St Germain so I'll see you next week.

I think Eddie will almost certainly bring in players on loan before opting for the young trialists, but it would be interesting to see whether the youngsters would bring the added desire and work-rate to the team, or whether it would be too much, too soon for them. As we all know though, it's the FA Cup on Saturday so Eddie will find it harder to persuade other managers to lend him players who would then be cup-tied.

That surprises me, because I always thought that whilst Andy Deaner was at the club, it was a sure sign that Martyn was too. Is this a bad omen, or has Andy left to find first-team football?

Yep, and two are goalkeepers, one of which isn't even ours - will Hornchurch allow Whincup to play on Saturday?

If he hasn't signed them by now it's too late for the FA Cup anyway.
