Seems was all pie in the sky. Non League Paper states his reasons for resigning include lack of time to commit to football as his full time job expands and requires further qualifications.

Please read between the lines of his statement, i have it on very good authority that Cliff left because they cut his budget by 50%. All the other excuses are to make the club look good!!!!!

Take your point sure, but the statement I read also acknowledges the budget problems. Aylesbury have got a new manager from Hampton who is used to working on a smaller budget so clearly there was a cut. But this is described as one of several reasons. Also Cliff's assisstant Terry Back has just got the Enfield job. Surely if Cliff was lining up a return to management he would have wanted Terry with him. Cliff also might not be such an attractive potential manager without an experienced number two. We will have to just wait and see. It is not as if it will directly effect us anyway

A club that is going places? Cutting the budget and losing the management team that led to promotion. Nice moves.

You all better get used to it! The money was never there in the first place, now it's becoming more obvious day by day that many clubs are seriously in financial troubles.l All Aylesbury are doing is ensuring they live within their means, a commen sense business practice your own Chairman seems to be unable to understand.
